About Me

I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist (MFC 45902) by the California  Board of Behavioral Sciences.  I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from University of California, Los Angeles in 2003 and my Master of Science degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Long Beach in 2005.  I have been working in the mental health field since 2004.  My experience includes working with children, teens, individuals and families struggling through a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, parenting and daily stress.  I am a clinical member of the professional association; California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).

As a licensed MFT I have had extensive training in working with children, adolescents, couples, individuals & families suffering from a variety of emotional and behavioral difficulties. My area of special interest is working with pregnant women, new moms and women’s issues in general. As a mother of a young child myself I have experienced the many challenges, stresses, joys and changes being a mom brings to ones life.  If you find yourself struggling with this tremendous life-changing event you are not alone.  There is help and you can feel better again.  My treatment modality typically is Cognitive Behavioral and Humanistic in nature although I utilize an eclectic approach in order to meet the specific needs of each client. I believe that the relationship between client and therapist is key.  Therapy is about you, your life and your goals. Together we can enhance the areas of your life where you wish to experience improvement.
